Guy Rogers – Media
Guy Rogers, a reporter for the Herald newspaper, Environmental and Tourism editor and writer of a weekly column “The Elephant ear”. He has been a reporter for The Herald for the past 10 years, and was appointed Environmental and Tourism editor 1 year ago.
Motivation:
Guy Rogers consistently demonstrates a high standard of journalism. His reports on conservation and tourism related issues are both accurate and informative, thereby effectively raising the consciousness of the general public.
When reporting on sensitive and/or contentious issues, he often raises challenging questions, taking note of presenting a balanced picture and to highlight the best interests of the environment. Where applicable, he is sure to present a balance between environmental concerns, conservation needs and social concerns. In addition, he has greatly contributed to raising awareness on the expansion of the Addo Elephant National Park and associated developments.
